NYDAA is looking to format legislative plan for the next year. Some of the plans include ideas for CE for RDA (licensed dental assistants) as well as adding additional funtions to our scope of practice.

We are in the process of getting ready for our annual session in Ithaca NY. I would like to see dental assistants who care about their profession come together. We need to have some young people join. The only way we are going to be able to gain benefits is to come together, or maybe you are all happy to be the silent team member??

Just Spoke with Sue Camizzi about becoming a member of ADAA. I’m looking forward to meeting her and everyone else at the meeting in Ithica in April. I want to join and then look into being a fellowship member, bring on the CE’s!

what is sjt? I did contact DANB to find the amount of CDA in NY and have not received an answer. If you figure there are 1700 dentists in NY and 1.5 dental assistants,that would be a whole lot of da power…..just saying
